Süleyman Demirel University, Graduate School of Health Sciences Although the Graduate School of Health Sciences at Süleyman Demirel University was included in the University’s founding legislation (Law No. 3737, published in the Official Gazette dated July 11, 1992, issue no. 21281), the official establishment approval was granted by the Council of Higher Education on February 25, 1993, and operational authorization was issued on December 27, 1994. The Graduate School commenced its academic activities in the spring semester of the 1994–1995 academic year with a total of seven students (four doctoral and three master’s students). With a strong commitment to addressing the national need for qualified scientists, the Graduate School meticulously conducts graduate education and training. As of the 2024–2025 academic year, graduate programs are offered in the following faculties: • Faculty of Dentistry: Doctoral programs in 5 departments • Faculty of Medicine: Master’s programs in 11 departments; doctoral programs in 10 departments • Faculty of Health Sciences: Master’s programs in 6 departments; doctoral programs in 2 departments • Faculty of Sports Sciences: Master’s programs in 2 departments; 1 doctoral program • Faculty of Pharmacy: Master’s programs in 2 departments In total, the Graduate School offers doctoral programs in 18 departments and master’s programs in 21 departments, including 3 interdisciplinary master’s programs and 1 interdisciplinary doctoral program. As of the 2024–2025 academic year, the Graduate School has 192 active graduate students, comprising 109 master’s and 83 doctoral students. Since its inception, a total of 586 students have graduated, including 339 doctoral and 247 master’s degree holders. Graduate education is delivered by a distinguished academic staff of 147 faculty members, consisting of 56 professors, 32 associate professors, and 59 assistant professors.
